Dr. Bates
Dr Bates is a graduate of Central Valley High School, Washington State University, and The University of Washington School of Dentistry. Postgraduate training includes a one year General Practice Residency at Montcrief Army Hospital in South Carolina, with over two years serving as Chief of Dentistry at Fort Hunter Liggett, California. Dr Bates has completed hundreds of hours of postgraduate training in all fields of dentistry including extensive training in orthodontics and dental implantology. Prior to serving a mission for his church with his family, he had a very busy and successful practice on Spokane’s South Side.

Why Deer Park
In 1998 our family received a calling from Gordon B. Hinckley, the President and Prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, to move to Arizona and preside over a mission of the Church. We were grateful for the opportunity and sold our busy dental practice and home and left the area for three years. Upon returning we are excited to re-establish a dental practice in the wonderful community of Deer Park.

Family & Interests
Steve is married to the former Julia Anglesey. Both are long time residents of the Inland Empire. They are the parents of seven children. Dentistry, family, raising and riding horses, church and community service keep them busy and happy.
